We specialize in custom homes, high-end renovations, and full design/build projects—but no job is too small. Whether it’s a ground-up build or simply installing a door, we approach every project with the same level of care and professionalism.

Meet Jason Kamps
I grew up in Boxford, Massachusetts, and looking back, it’s clear that building has always been in my blood. My father worked in excavation, and my grandfather was a master carpenter and builder. From an early age, I was immersed in the construction world, and it quickly became a natural part of who I am.
During high school, I spent my summers working for various builders, gaining hands-on experience that confirmed my passion for the industry. By senior year, I enrolled in an internship program and spent the final third of the school year working with a local carpenter—an experience that further solidified my desire to pursue a career in building. After graduation, I joined a company specializing in high-end custom homes on the North Shore.
Since founding the company in 1997, I’ve had the privilege of developing a loyal client base and working on a wide range of projects. No matter the size or scope of the job, I remain committed to craftsmanship, integrity, and treating every home with the respect it deserves. I take pride in standing behind my work and maintaining lasting relationships with my clients.
Matt Bendle
Matt recently joined our team, bringing more than 20 years of project management experience in both commercial and high-end residential construction. He began his career as a carpenter on the North Shore and Martha’s Vineyard.
Outside the office, Matt enjoys cheering on his kids—whether they’re on the pitch, the ice, or the golf course—and spending quality time with his family in the outdoors.
Brian Derrivan
Brian has held a wide range of roles throughout his construction career—from kitchen design to project management—bringing a deep and versatile wealth of experience to our team. As our Production Manager, he oversees the shop, yard, and inventory systems, ensuring seamless operations. He also supports Jason and Matt with project management to help keep our projects running efficiently and on schedule.
In his free time, Brian enjoys traveling to Florida with family and friends. A talented drummer and passionate music enthusiast, he also loves attending shows featuring local bands.
Katie Lavoie
Katie has spent the majority of her career as an Office Manager, including more than 20 years in that role at a local car dealership before joining our team. She now works closely with Jason, Matt, and Brian to support the overall management and daily operations of the company.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her two children. Her favorite moments are spent boating on the waters of Ipswich Bay throughout the summer months.
Mark Gibeley
Mark and Jason began their construction careers working for the same company. Mark then moved to Nantucket and built houses for five years, honing his craft and enjoying island life. Mark then moved back to this area and has been working for the company for 20 plus years. Mark runs our wood shop and is the Company’s head finish carpenter. His talent is unmatched!
In his free time Mark enjoys working on his house. Mark is also an avid music fan and enjoys going to shows.
Bob Bird
Bob has spent 40 years in the residential construction industry. In 1997, he founded his own company on Cape Cod as a custom siding installer before transitioning into framing on the North Shore. He joined our team more than a decade ago and now leads the framing of our homes as well as many of our exterior finish projects. Bob is a vital and highly trusted member of our team.
In his free time, Bob is an avid outdoorsman. He also enjoys traveling the world and spending time with his two dogs.
Jon Jay Parent
Jon Jay joined our company two years ago, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the residential construction industry. A well-rounded master carpenter, he completes a wide range of interior and exterior projects. He also leads the critical “punch list” phase, working closely with clients to ensure every project is completed to the highest standards. His attention to detail is truly unmatched.
In his free time, Jon Jay enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family at their camp in New Hampshire.
Mike Bird
Mike joined the company alongside his father, Bob, and has been a valued member of the team for more than 10 years. He began as a laborer and carpenter’s apprentice, and over the years has grown tremendously—developing into a highly skilled, well-seasoned carpenter in his own right.
In his free time, Mike is an avid outdoorsman, much like his father. He enjoys annual hunting trips and traveling throughout New England.
Haley Hallisey
Haley is now in her second stint with our team. She originally spent five years with the company as a laborer and carpenter’s apprentice before moving into facilities management for another five years. She returned to us more than two years ago and is thriving in her role as a carpenter once again. Her return has been a welcome one—by both our team and our clients.
In her free time, Haley enjoys spending time with her daughter and exploring the many adventures the North Shore has to offer.
Randy Loring
Randy and Jason grew up together in Boxford. Randy worked with the company in its early years before leaving to explore other career opportunities. He recently returned to our team, bringing with him extensive experience in both exterior and interior finish carpentry. His skills and positive attitude make him a valuable addition to the company.
In his free time, Randy enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking throughout New England
Sebastian Cuervo
Sebastian joined the company three years ago through the Night Hawk Program at Essex Tech—an excellent initiative that allows working adults seeking a career change to attend school at night and learn a new trade. He has embraced carpentry and has been developing his skills by working closely with our lead carpenters.
In his free time, Sebastian enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with his girlfriend.
Jase Boeker
Jase is a senior at Essex Tech, participating in their Co-op program for carpentry. He works with our team every other week and spent the summer, as well as the second half of his junior year, gaining hands-on experience with us. Jase is eager to learn and hopes to build a career in carpentry.
In his free time, Jase enjoys drawing and spending time with his friends.
